Pregnancy, mums & babies

Supporting pregnancy

Craniosacral therapy is a nourishing and relaxing treatment for expectant mums. Regular treatments can help support the body as it adapts to the growing baby, easing aches and pains that can sometimes arise, and helping prepare the body for birth.

Mums and babies
Craniosacral therapy is perhaps best known for helping mums and babies. Regular sessions can help recovery of mum and baby after a difficult or stressful birth, and parents often bring in babies with sleeping or feeding issues, colic, fretfulness, or difficulty settling.

What to expect
I like to treat mum and baby together as this is more effective than just treating the baby on their own. Sessions are quite flexible and the baby can rest on mum (or dad’s) lap, or they can be treated while feeding or sleeping. Dads or partners are very welcome too, as the baby is very connected with the family field as a whole.

Before the session

I usually take a few details and a brief history of the pregnancy and birth over the phone before I see you in-person. This gives us the maximum time together in clinic and offers the opportunity to answer any questions you may have before the session.

Find out more

If you'd like to find out a bit more and see if craniosacral therapy is right for you, please get in touch -  I offer a free 20 minute phone or Zoom consultation, so you can find out if it is suitable for you.

Craniosacral therapy works very well alongside your usual medical care. It is not intended to replace primary healthcare but to work in tandem with the service provided by your doctor or healthcare practitioner.
